The Ritual

Apply to face & neck, avoiding the eye area after your recommended serum & moisturizer. Wait at least 15 minutes before sun exposure, or as directed by your physician/skincare professional. Reapply after prolonged exposure, physical activity, perspiration, or contact with water.

PURPOSEFUL INGREDIENTS 

• Zinc Oxide - dermatologist-recommended stable, gentle, very effective UVA/UVB protection, this mineral is considered one of the best sunscreen ingredients approved for use in the United States. Shown to be effective at providing broad-spectrum protection against burning UVB rays and longer, deep-penetrating UVA rays that may cause cancer and cause many visible signs of aging and skin damage.

• Octyl methoxycinnamate - proven superior protection against free radical activities associated with sunburn & can help protect against UV-induced DNA alternations and enhances Zinc Oxide properties

• Water/Aqua - a vehicle for water-soluble ingredients to mix and work together and enhances the effectiveness of hydrophilic ingredients.

• Decamethylcyclopentasiloxane - works as a delivery agent of beneficial ingredients while helping to provide smoother, more even spreadability.

• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) - an incredibly restorative water-soluble skin brightener that helps to prevent the transfer of pigment within the skin. What's more, it has been shown to help in skin defense against infrared light, repair skin barrier for improved performance, boost collagen production, and reduce redness in sensitive skin, all while helping to prevent visible signs of aging by fighting damage from environmental stressors. • Oleth-3 Phosphate - used as an emulsifier and dispersing agent to evenly combine oil-based, water-based, and solid ingredients to disperse and blend evenly in the formula. 

• Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate - a moisturizing agent and skin-conditioning emollient that has been found in studies to enhance the effectiveness of SPF sun protection and make them work better. 

• Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyl Dimethyl Taurate Copolymer - emulsifier used to mix and stabilize oil- and water-loving ingredients together in the formula.

• Polybutene - a moisturizing binder for product stability and SPF retention.

• Tocopheryl Acetate - a form of vitamin E with higher stability and improved affinity to work with skin that is known to help combat damage to skin caused by free radicals from exposure to UV and environmental factors. It can also have anti-inflammatory effects to help calm and soothe skin.

• Stone Grass Extract - super antioxidant rich in flavonoids that has been scientifically shown to help protect skin cells and fight damaging effect of UV rays to reduce visible signs of photo-damage. It has also been shown to be a cathespin G inhibitor and helps to prevent collagen and elastin breakdown while improving a firmer look and feel to skin.

• Hyaluronic Acid  - acts as a humectant to attract moisture to the deeper layers of skin helping to reduce dryness, inflammation, and the appearance of lines. Skin looks plumper and smoother.

• PEG-7 Trimethylolpropane Coconut Ether  - skin-conditioning emulsifier to improve even blend of ingredients and stable quality of product.

• Glycerin - plant-derived hydration booster that is one of the most effective humectants available to draw moisture deep into skin, protecting it from loss of water, other harsh products, and helping it look smoother.  

• Disodium EDTA - helps prevent metals from water from being deposited into skin, helps antioxidants to be more effective, and stabilizes formula to help prevent product deterioration and damaging changes in pH. 

• Sodium Hydroxide -   a pH balancer to adjust product pH to help allow ingredients to work best with help product work ideally with skin's natural pH.

• Citric Acid - used to adjust pH so ingredients can work at their highest potential and product can work more efficiently with the skin.
